Maryland Pro-Life Alliance PAC is committed to retiring pro-abort incumbents in 2018. We have selected legislative districts where we have a great chance at replacing an abortion-on-demand politician with a pro-life advocate. So far we have announced (2) districts with more announcements to come as we get closer to the 2018 election.
District 38 – Senator Jim Mathias (D)
Jim Mathias has served on the Senate Finance Committee since 2011.
You might ask yourself, why would that matter to a pro-life group?
Well, the Senate Finance Committee is a prime committee that many abortion-related bills are assigned.
And each and every time Senator Jim Mathias has been on the side of Abortionists, killing bill after bill in his committee.
This was on full display in the 2017 General Assembly that just concluded.
Mathias joined other abortion-on-demand Senators in passing the Planned Parenthood Bailout bill (SB-1081) which was sponsored by radical candidate for Governor, Richard Madaleno.
The Planned Parenthood Bailout bill says that if the federal government defunds Planned Parenthood, Maryland taxpayers will be on the hook to foot the bill.
The crazies in Annapolis actually want us to pick up the tab if Planned Parenthood loses their abortion funding.
And Jim Mathias voted for this on the floor, here is the record of his vote.
Jim Mathias has always survived because he makes the election about anything but his voting record.
That’s going to change in 2018.
Maryland Pro-Life Alliance PAC has set up a special fund to defeat pro-abort Senator Jim Mathias and we want your help today so that we can give Mathias a pink slip in 2018.
And our chances of winning are huge here.
In 2010, Mathias barely won his election 50.7 percent to 49.3 percent.
In 2014, it was yet another squeaker where Mathias barely survived winning 51.7 percent to 48.3 percent.
Retiring Senator Mathias in District 38 is a good move for saving unborn babies and strategically, we have a huge chance at being successful here.
The Chairman of the Democrat Central Committee in Mathias’ district admitted that Mathias is up against it this time around in an interview with OC Today saying:
“The republicans want that seat, and they want it bad . . . It’s going to be a tough fight.”
(May 18, 2017, Brian Gilliland, OC Today)
Jim Mathias has been a long-time, reliable ally of Abortionists in Annapolis. When they need him to do their bidding — he’s always there to pitch in.
It’s time we ended his political career, are you in?
District 8 – Kathy Klausmeier (D)
Klausmeier represents District 8 in Baltimore County which includes places like Perry Hall and White Marsh.
District 8 is one of the top battleground districts in 2018 and presents the pro-life movement in Maryland with a huge opportunity to retire a long-time pro-abort legislator.
One Democrat and two Republicans represent District 8 as Delegates and Governor Hogan crushed Anthony Brown in District 8 by over 11,000 votes in 2014.
In 2016, President Trump barely lost by a little over 200 votes to Hillary Clinton in District 8.
We have a GREAT CHANCE in this battleground district at defeating Klausmeier in 2018.
Yet Kathy Klausmeier has been in the state legislature since 1995.
Since 1995, Friend!
For over two decades, Kathy Klausmeier has been voting for taxpayer funding for abortion and doing the bidding of Planned Parenthood.
That’s why it’s no surprise that anti-life groups like NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland PAC have given Klausmeier four-figure contributions because they know how valuable she is to their abortion-on-demand agenda.
Without your help groups like NARAL and Planned Parenthood will bankroll another abortion-on-demand victory virtually unopposed this election cycle.
We need your help to make a statement in District 8 in the upcoming election!
And we can do it if we have the resources to spend in the district.
We have plans to run canvassing program, direct mail operations, online ads, phone program, print ads, literature drops, and even run radio ads.
But all of this hinges on what we can raise to fight for unborn babies.
It’s time for the political class in Annapolis to fear the pro-life movement.
The only way to become politically feared is to make politicians pay consequences for their actions (or non-actions) during election season.
2018 is our time to do just that.
